Advocate, Supreme Court of Pakistan
Founder, JJK Law & Company
Junaid Jabbar Khan enrolled as an advocate before the District Courts in 2006. He did not begin in a corporate law department or on the payroll of a large firm. He began in trial courts — learning civil and criminal procedure through contested hearings, cross-examinations, and judgments that went both ways. That foundation, built in courtrooms where the facts and the law both mattered, is what the rest of his career stands on.
He was admitted to the Lahore High Court in 2008 and earned the right to appear before the Supreme Court of Pakistan in 2016. In the twenty years since his enrollment, he has argued hundreds of cases across constitutional, tax, service, and customs law — the four disciplines he has made his primary practice. He founded JJK Law & Company to build a chambers structured around specialist depth rather than general availability, and to extend that structure into the broader range of disciplines his clients needed through carefully selected associates.
Practice Areas
Junaid personally leads the following practice areas at the chambers:
- Constitutional Law — Fundamental rights petitions under Articles 199 and 184(3), judicial review of administrative decisions, challenges to ultra vires legislation and executive action, separation of powers disputes, election and disqualification matters, and public interest litigation. Argued before the Lahore High Court and Supreme Court of Pakistan.
- Tax Law — Income tax, sales tax, and federal excise disputes at every appellate level — from Commissioner (Appeals) through the Appellate Tribunal Inland Revenue to the Lahore High Court and Supreme Court. Transfer pricing, tax fraud defence, advance rulings, and corporate tax planning.
- Service Law — Unlawful termination, regularization, promotion and seniority disputes, pension recovery, departmental inquiries, service tribunal appeals, and constitutional writs for public servants across civil service, statutory corporations, and educational institutions.
- Customs Law — Classification and valuation disputes, seizure and confiscation defence, anti-dumping proceedings, and representation before Customs Collectorates, the Customs Appellate Tribunal, and the Lahore High Court.
He also provides senior oversight on the chambers' associate-led matters in corporate, civil litigation, criminal, family, property, labour, banking, and intellectual property law — particularly where a matter crosses into constitutional or service law territory that requires his direct involvement.
